Rockingham County Sheriff’s Investigators have charged and arrested Adam Shane Stacey, 50, of 161 Reginald Rd. Mayodan, NC, in connection to several vehicle break-ins and the theft of a newer-model Polaris Ranger 1000 model side-by-side ATV.
The vehicle break-ins and ATV theft occurred around the 3000 block of NC 704 in Madison and were reported to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office on September 24, 2023.
A Crime Stoppers Hotline tip helped to lead investigators to the location of the stolen ATV where it was recovered by investigators and returned to the owner. Stacey was arrested on three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and one count of felony larceny. He was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $50,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 23rd.
