It’s with a great deal of pleasure we announce our latest WBTM/Danville Dental Associates Citizen of the Month. She is Gayle Barts…letter of nomination submitted by Donald Merricks.

I am writing to nominate Gayle Barts of the Laurel Grove Community as your Citizen of the Month. Gayle is no stranger to many in Danville and surrounding communities. She has volunteered her time and talents to numerous organizations over the years. She is an active member of Ringgold Baptist Church and has volunteered her time with the Laurel Grove Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association, the Danville Symphony, and the Danville Science Center. Those are just a few of the organizations she has assisted. She has served as Legislative Aide to Senator Robert Hurt, Delegate Don Merricks, and Delegate Les Adams. She always works behind the scenes and never wishes for any recognition. She is always kind, and always willing to lend a hand where needed. She epitomizes the qualifications of your “Citizen of the Month”, and I highly recommend her for this recognition.
