A gas station clerk in Madison, NC was stabbed multiple times on Sunday afternoon after an argument escalated. According to FOX 8, at 1:40 pm on Sunday officers responded to the Valero gas station on South Market Street.

When officers arrived they found clerk suffering from multiple stab wounds. After an investigation it was revealed that 22-year-old Jacob Lowe got angry with the clerk after she asked him for his ID while he was trying to purchase a vape pod.

The argument then escalated and Lowe allegedly stabbed the clerk several times. Lowe was found and arrested a short time later.

Lowe has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. The clerk is expected to survive her injuries.
