One person was killed in a shooting Thursday night in Henry County. Henry County Sheriff Wayne Davis told BTW 21 that officers responded to a residence on 10th street at 4:45 pm on Tuesday.

Once on scene deputies found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Ka’darius Ferrell. Ferrell has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony , and discharge of a firearm within a dwelling.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Jadakuis Tysean Mitchell. Both men were believed to be dating the same woman and when Mitchell arrived at the residence an altercation occurred.
