The Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Association, comprised of AP member television and radio stations throughout Virginia and West Virginia, is offering two $2000 scholarships for 2024 to students pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism. The students must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at a college or university in Virginia or West Virginia at the time of the application deadline. The VAPB Scholarship Committee will select one student from a West Virginia school and one from a Virginia school among all qualified applications received by the deadline of Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024.

(Note: The application must be received by 11:59p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, or earlier to be considered).

The award is contingent upon the recipient being able to attend the Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Awards Luncheon as a guest. This year’s event begins at 12 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024, at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
