All Pittsylvania County convenience centers will be closed to the public on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25. All trash disposal locations will maintain normal hours on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas.

The closure will allow site attendants and solid waste staff to spend Christmas with their families. Staff will close each of the convenience centers at 8 pm on Sunday, December 24, and then reopen them at 6 a. on Tuesday, December 26.

The public is reminded that all sites are monitored by cameras 24 hours a day and placing trash outside of the gate is a Class 1 misdemeanor, which could result in fines and/or jail time.
