A man who plead guilty to a fatal shooting at the Danville Mall has been sentenced to 19 1/2 years in prison. 19-year-old Christian Isiah Pinckney previously plead guilty to second degree murder, possession of a firearm by a violent felon, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Pinckney shot and killed 26-year-old Tyshais Deshaun King inside of Hibbett Sports on October 29, 2022. Pinckney was arrested on November 1, 2022 in Burlington, NC.

Pinckney received a 40 year sentence for the second degree murder charge, with 28.5 years suspended. He also received sentences totaling eight years for the additional charges.
