Caesars Virginia held a topping off ceremony on Thursday for the new hotel and resort. The new Caesars Virginia Hotel and Resort is expected to be completed in about 300 days.
During the ceremony, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Caesars Virginia Chris Albrecht spoke about what the topping off ceremony symbolized.
“The hotel signifies our chance to say that this is real…this has truly changed the skyline of Danville when you come from miles around you now see this great addition to the three sisters here,” said Albrecht, “It also shows that we’re building more than just a casino this is going to be a resort destination.”
The hotel will be 12 stories with 320 rooms. The hotel will also feature 28 suites, floor to ceiling windows, and a spa on the bottom floor.
“It also shows that we’re bringing more jobs to Danville. We have 440 fantastic team members that are temporary and we’re going to grow to about two to two and a half times that,” said Albrecht.
Caesars Virginia opened a temporary casino in May that through December has brought in about $145 million in revenue.
