A fire on Friday morning in Danville did extensive damage to a home. The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 425 Claiborne St. this morning at 5:30 am.

Crews arrived to find a single story residential structure with heavy fire showing from the left rear of the structure. Crews immediately entered the structure to search for any victims.

Two additional crews entered the structure to attack the fire. No one was found in the structure and there were no injuries reported.

Damage to the structure was extensive and crews remain on the scene at this time hitting hot spots. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
