Virginia State Police is investigating a three-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred Thursday at 3:20 pm on Route 41, at its intersection with Route 750 in Pittsylvania County.

A 2005 GMC Canyon failed to stop at the stop sign on Route 750 and was struck by a 2022 Dodge Ram. The GMC then struck a 2013 Ford Flex.

The driver of the GMC was identified as Cody Blake Rowland, 31, of Chatham, Va. Mr. Rowland was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, 39-year-old Jason Robertson, of Dry Fork, was wearing his seatbelt. Robertson was injured and was transported to the hospital by EMS.

Richard Weese, 46, of Winston Salem, NC, was the driver of the Dodge and was also wearing his seatbelt. Weese was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
