A man wanted for a Reidsville homicide was arrested in Colorado on Sunday. James McDaniel Jr was arrested in Aurora, Colorado after being on the run since October.

On October 18, 2023, McDaniel shot Timothy Ray Kuchinshi, 26, at a residence on Barnes Street in Reidsville.  Kunchiski later died at a local hospital due to his injuries. 

McDaniel will be transported back to Rockingham County to face charges of First-Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injuries and two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
