Last night Danville City Council approved rezoning a parcel fronting Parker Road near Coleman MarketPlace from Planned Shopping Center to Multifamily Residential.

River City Developers LLC is planning to build a high quality set of housing units in the area near Parker Road, Sweetbriar Road and Koller Street. River City Developers is anticipating seeking a special use permit for a planned unit development.

Full plans for the proposed development have not been released at this time.

The council also voted yes on three items to allow operation of an automobile repair facility by First Choice Transmissions LLC. The property is located at 135 Forestdale Drive.
