The City of Danville has requested funding for a new white water rafting facility that would be located at Dan River Falls.

The White Mill Whitewater Channel would be used for recreation and also for swift water training for first responders. Danville officials have asked Delegate Danny Marshall and Senator Bill Stanley for help submitting a budget amendment to help fund the project.

If the measure passes the General Assembly, the City of Danville will need to match $3 million for the project.
