Virginia State Police is investigating a vehicle versus a pedestrian crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred Tuesday at 6:20 pm on Route 29 (Bus), just north of Blairmont Drive in Pittsylvania County.

A 2017 Audi A4 was traveling south on Route 29 Business when the vehicle struck a pedestrian which was walking in the right-hand travel lane.

The pedestrian was identified as Robin Mahan Hancock, 66, of Chatham. Hancock died at the scene.

aThe driver of the Audi was not injured and no charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
