Danville Utilities restored power overnight to all customers that were impacted by an outage that began on Tuesday night. On Tuesday night over 1,000 customers in the Brosville, Axton, and Cascade areas lost power after a substation transformer was directly hit by lightning.

Danville Utilities had to bring in a mobile substation to restore service to some customers. Service being returned to all customers was delayed after an unexpected problem was encountered with a breaker.
