A man was arrested following a sexual assault at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Henry County on Sunday. At 11:20 am, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a sexual assault at Lowe’s Home Improvement located at 1059 Commonwealth Blvd. Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office arrived a short time later and made contact with the victim.
The victim was identified as an employee at Lowe’s. While the employee was working, a male, later identified as Malvester Penn, approached the employee and began speaking with them. After a short conversation, Penn inappropriately touched the employee and made sexual remarks.
Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office worked with Officers from the City of Martinsville Police Department to quickly identify Malvester Penn III, 42, as the person who committed this crime.
At 4 pm on Sunday, Penn was arrested and was charged with sexual assault. Penn received a $2,000 secure bond for his actions in this incident.
